What is EDGE Cable Technology?

3 May 2022

EDGE Cables were designed to provide significantly higher operating efficiency compared to standard solid wire control cables.  By developing the splined inner core with 6 touch points there are now fewer contact areas and thereby lower friction resulting in a better performing cable.

Combining the splined inner core with special conduit and binder wrap allows for far longer life than standard outer conduit and halves the recommended bend radius to 4 inches (100mm).

The Multiflex EDGE cable provides smooth operation over significant cable lengths while having far lower backlash than solid wire cables.

When using EDGE cables you want improved efficiency, reduces operator effort and long life.

EDGE control cables are interchangeable with Seastar Solutions®, Morse® and Ultraflex®.  Please refer to the cross-reference table below.
